Wife asked to have a Sunday lunch at this restaurant. I have driven past it for years and never experienced the place. The restaurant has a cabin and fishery with dusted decorations throughout the dining rooms. Didn't see a cob web on my visit. Hostess had a waiting list with a fairly accurate estimated wait time. Our lunch consisted of clam chowder, which had unique taste to it making it quite enjoyable. 4 pieces COD fish and chips was hot and crispy until the steam from the fish sogs the breading. Maybe the 3 piece is the better choice. Our overall experience was satisfying Sunday lunch with decent table service.
Thanksgiving. Family of 7. I might expect a half-present staff, considering they are here, not at home. Instead, we have experienced truly helpful and considerate people, focused on OUR Thanksgiving experience at McGrath's. Ryan, your attention to our family and our meal was impeccable, and provided with a twinkle in your eye and energy in your step. Some of us had the Thanksgiving special. I had the Coconut Pineapple Mahi. Beautiful pink medallions with a crisp and tasty crust. Soooo good. Thank you all for hosting our family's dinner on this day of gratitude.
